Because You Matter Ministries Inc. Is organized exclusively for charitable, religious and educational purposes within the meaning of 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The main objective is to have Jesus Christ known to all people and to evangelize God’s love through Jesus Christ. Ministering to residents in, Assisted living sites, Rehabilitation sites and Nursing facilities with the word of God, music and discipleship.
Volunteers help in providing a worship service by volunteering to lead songs, play music, give messages or sitting and assisting residents during the Services. We minister to residents at 4 locations at various times and days during the month.
We educate the residents in biblical studies in a group setting or we also will do one on one studies for those who prefer.
There are special giant print hymnals for the seeing impaired along with large print tracts. We also supply large print Bibles for those who may not have one, at no cost to them.
We are also involved in responding to disasters to help Christian and non-Christian victims and first responders cope with the mental, spiritual, physical and emotional stress that come with disasters, while supplying help in clearing downed trees and limbs on people’s property.
We have a number of chaplains who have also had Critical Incident Stress Management Training. We deploy teams to areas upon request and help both victims and other responders dealing with stress and or trauma from the disaster. We have skilled people who operate chainsaws and power limbers, clearing private property of those who might not have homeowners insurance that will pay for such cleanup after a storm.
